This delicious ginger beer is named after our famed tour guide Freddie Johnson. Freddie, whose father and grandfather both worked at the Distillery before him, has worked as a tour guide at Buffalo Trace for many years and is well known for delighting guests with his fun personality and fabulous story telling. Freddie was inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame and his “bubbly” personality is a natural fit for this ginger beer. Spicy ginger is quick to grab the palate with a pleasant, refreshing bite. The ginger notes then pull back a bit, allowing notes of lemongrass, coriander and lime leaf and zest to surface. All of this is balanced by a solid backbone of brown sugar and caramel-like sweetness.
