I guess persistence pays. I moved to Kentucky from California, filled out an application and called the HR department every day before finally getting hired at the Distillery. For over 15 years now, I've inspected bottles by making sure they're clean, filled with product and capped before sending them on to the label machine.
More than anything, I love walking into the beautiful historic grounds throughout the different seasons. One of my favorite memories is the time I shared the stage at the Folkie Festival in Frankfort with Elmer T. Lee, sharing the bourbon making process with an amazing man and our community.
I'm so proud to work here, for a company that gives back to our community through donations and helping those in need.
