Over 200 years in the making.
In 2008, Buffalo Trace Distillery started capturing oral histories of the family and friends of the Distillery to serve as a virtual time capsule for future generations. Working with the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History at the University of Kentucky Libraries, the project spanned more than two years and includes interviews with Elmer T. Lee, Julian Van Winkle and the niece of Albert B. Blanton.
Learn about the history of Buffalo Trace from an insider’s perspective as you hear Elmer T. Lee talk about first meeting Col. Blanton, the fabulous meals Blanton cooked, and the Distillery’s quest for creating the perfect bourbon.
